Live in King County and love to skate? If you're on the Eastside the nearest rinks are more than 20 miles away! (See nearby rinks) It's time to build one!
We're working to build a new rink in the Bellevue/Kirkland/Redmond area. We're starting under the umbrella of Skate Journeys, and are looking to create a public/private partnership to provide a major new active recreation venue in east King County.

Why skating?

A typical rink gets 100,000+ visits a year, kids age 4 - seniors.

That's great exercise for a significant number of people! Burn 400+ calories per hour and have fun in-person with your family and friends. Appeals to all ages, from people looking for casual fun and exercise including a great venue for birthday parties and school events, to those who want to participate or compete in artistic skating, synchronized skating, slalom, speed skating, hockey, or roller derby.
What we're envisioning:
- Two rinks
- Party rooms
- Good food
- Trail access
- Skate store
- A flexible setup so we can provide pickle ball courts during daytime
hours when skating rinks are typically not busy.
